Music Stories was created with the aim of better representing talented musicians online. Many talented musicians both perform and teach and can offer a variety of different types of lessons, masterclasses and experiences. We wanted to offer a platform for those musicians to really tell their true music story.
Our mission is to fill the world with more music, musician by musician.
By telling the music stories of those talented people who have made music a career, and by providing the information and opportunities to people to continue their music story, we hope to support and inspire the musicians of tomorrow, and today.
If you are a talented musician but perhaps don’t know how to find the best teacher to take you to the next level, music stories can help.
If you are an amateur musician wanting to experience a world class lesson, masterclass or performance, we can help.
What we believe in
We believe music has a positive impact on the lives of those who experience it and on the world as a whole.
We believe in accessibility, inclusivity, collaboration and music education.
Music Stories was started by Fiona Veitch, an amateur musician. Having worked in marketing for many years, music was still a big part of her life playing violin in an amateur orchestra in London and playing piano at home.
During the last year while on maternity leave and locked down by baby Alexander and also the pandemic, plans for Music Stories evolved. It started by speaking with musicians and finding out more about what they wanted from a website like Music Stories.
Thanks go in particular to Jonathan Radford and Emily Sun who have been in touch over the last year and have helped to steer the site into what it is today and will become over the next months!
We will be adding functionality and evolving the different sections and so are keen to hear your feedback.
